Cyclones be killin people
The ice storm of January 1998 pulled moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean which was converted into freezing rain and snow that fell from north-eastern U.S.A to south-eastern Canada. The weight of the ice collapsed many power transmission towers like this one, leaving various areas without electricity for up to two weeks. It also caused 20 deaths, billions of dollars in repairs, and the destruction of many deciduous trees.
