Landslide

A landslide occured in April 27th, 2010 covering up a 900 foot section of highway near Keelung, Taiwan. It is unclear how the landslide was triggered because no earthquake or rain was recorded in the area. But experts believe and said the possible reason why it happened is that: "The hill had a dip slop on the side nearest the motorway. The other side of dip slopes are steep and irregular, while the slope itself makes it easier for rocks to slide down." Because of this land slide, rescuers worked night and day to clear the rubble taking more than 20 days to clear it up; for the people who use the highway this highway couldn't use it.
