Truncated Spurs
Trunctaed spurs are geologic formations created under specific conditions which result in a ridge of land with its ends cut off. It occurs when ridge spurs have been truncated by glaciers.
I can just imagine the river that flowed throught there once before the big mean glacier decided to bulldoze its way through.
