This Landslide happened in the coastal area of Southern California in the spring of 1995 during a storm. Houses nearest to the landslide were completely destroyed and people were evacuated. There has been a history of landslides in La Conchita, the first happening in 1909. The landslide in 1995 happened in almost the exact same place of the landslide in 1909 killing 4 people.
