This scenic tarn lake in Mount Morrison, is within a cirque; a result of alpine glaciation. A cirque is a semi-circular depression formed in a moutain as a result of the erosianal action of alpine glaciers. This tarn lake was originally a cirque, however, the glacier melted and left behind the water, which now forms this beautiful tarn lake.
