Tombolo :)....

This is a Tombolo! The tombolo was created by longshore drift, which is when wave action drags the sand along the shoreline and waves break at angles on the beach. Due to the diagonal pattern in which they travel, the sand is pushed and depostied between an island and the mainland, creating a tombolo.

a tombolo is a depostion landform in which an island is attached to the mainland by a narrow piece of land such as a spit or bar. Once attached, the island is then know as a tied island, Several islands tied together by bars which rise above the water level are called a tombolo cluster.

This is a picture of a Tombolo. They are formed by wave refraction, when the waves bend around an island and form a Tombolo, which connects the island to the mainland and people can walk across it to the island.

Rochefort Arete

This is a picture of Rochefort Arete in France. An arete is sharp knife looking ridge formed from glacial erosion. Typically formed when two galciers erode parallel "U-shaped" valleys. They also from where three cirques erode towards one another. This is an alpine feature.

Kettle lake

This is a feature of  kettle lakes (in Alaska). They are formed when large amounts of ice accumulate in one part of a glacier and are left behind when the ice melts(glacier retreats). The kettle lake is result of continental glaciation.
